Lower School - Main Campus
Instructional full day kindergarten and Grades K through 5 attend school from 8:15 am - 3:00 pm.
Blessed Pope John XXIII Academy's Lower School provides the Kindergarten through fifth grade students with a traditional educational program. The teacher recognizes each student as an individual, and students are encouraged to develop at their own pace according to their strength and needs. Emphasis is placed on the sound foundation of basic skills.
Our Core Program includes, Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Religion, Computers, World Languages (Spanish), Library Instruction, Physical Education and Fine Arts: Music (Instrumental and Vocal) and Art (History and talent development).
The curriculum provides a sequential development of these skills and the presentation of logically organized subject matter as well as the development of critical thinking skills that enable the student to analyze data and apply the knowledge they have acquired. As students grow mentally and physically, teachers help them become aware of their potential and to develop positive self-images. Teachers take responsibility to honor our Catholic heritage and traditions as well as to help students appreciate human diversity.
