EXCEL (Extended Care Enriching Learning) is available every school day from 6:30 am until 6:00 pm. Participation in the program is optional and is limited to Blessed Pope John XXIII Academy students from Pre-K3 through Grade 8. The reasonable rates for this program are paid monthly. This program is staffed by certified teachers and aides who provide structured activities that encourage knowledge and community. Most popular with parents is the Study Club, which enables students to complete their homework with the help of a teacher or a peer tutor known as a study buddy. Arts and Crafts, playground activities and standardized test preparation for Academy students are some of the other well-liked activities.
